50 Things My Mom Was Right About:
- You should make your bed first thing in the morning
- You should wear a jacket
- You shouldn’t buy shit you don’t need
- You need to eat your vegetables
- You have way too many clothes
- Watching TV makes you lazy
- You’re 16 – you don’t actually know what you’re talking about
- Nothing good ever happens at sleepovers
- You need to take the time to say thank you
- That’s a stupid shirt
- You really should get up and go to church
- Nobody likes someone who can’t handle their alcohol
- You’re 17 – it’s not the end of the world
- You need to always wear a seatbelt
- Always surround yourself with positive, uplifting people
- You need to be the bigger person – it doesn’t matter what they did
- You’re 18 – you’re not as smart as you think you are
- Don’t worry about what you want and be grateful for what you have
- You need to be patient
- Things are going to get better
- You’re never going to get a girlfriend acting like that
- Your girlfriend is a hoe
- One day you’ll realize that I’m actually kind of a cool mom
